VAMPIRES COME ALIVE IN THE TRANSFIGURATION

Milo is a bullied and troubled African American teenager who has  an obsession with the dark world of vampires. When he meets the equally damaged Sophie, he lets her in on his sadistic fantasies. This dramatic horror film was written and directed by first time filmmaker Michael O’Shea and premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016. This film uses the housing projects of New York as the backdrop for an ultra realistic and ultra violent vampire tale.  This unique indie film mixes art house aesthetics with the slasher film genre.

Transfiguration stars newcomers Eric Ruffin and Chloe Levine. The film is playing in limited release but should be available soon on streaming services.
